🚪 Slide Glide Pocket Door Systems

1. Promani One (Single System)

What it does: This is the standard “bread and butter” kit. It creates a hidden cavity within a stud wall for a single door.

  • Key Feature: It features an extractable track, meaning you can remove the mechanism for maintenance or upgrades even after the wall is plastered, without having to tear down the drywall.

2. Twin Pocket Frame (Double Doors)

What it does: Designed for larger openings (like between a kitchen and dining room), this system allows two doors to slide into pockets on opposite sides.

  • Key Feature: It creates a grand “open plan” feel when open, but offers full privacy when closed.

3. Single Extra High System

What it does: Specifically designed for modern homes with high ceilings.

  • Key Feature: It accommodates taller door panels that reach toward the ceiling, maintaining a sleek, architectural look without the need for a header gap.

4. Glass Door Compatibility Kits

What it does: These are specialized versions of the frames designed to hold heavy glass panels rather than timber.

  • Key Feature: Ideal for en-suites or dark hallways where you want to save space but still allow natural light to flow between rooms.

🛠️ Key Hardware & Functions

Slide Glide uses high-end German engineering (often partnering with OPK Europe) to ensure the doors don’t just “slide” but “glide.

  • Soft Close / Open Mechanism: Gently catches the door as it nears the end of the track to prevent slamming and finger-trapping.

  • Ball-Bearing Plastic Rollers: These are the “engine” of the door. They use high-grade bearings for silent, friction-free movement.

  • Flush & Edge Pulls: Since the door disappears into the wall, you can’t use a normal handle. Flush pulls sit flat on the face of the door, while edge pulls allow you to hook the door out of the pocket when it’s fully retracted.

Note: Most of these systems are sold as “complete kits,” meaning they include the steel frame, track, and rollers, so you don’t have to piece them together yourself. You just need to get the door if you dont already have it
